GENERAL INFORMATION
COMMUNICATION:
Where possible, all communication is made via email; to
keep in touch with other co-op members, place orders,
etc.
DELIVERY FREQUENCY:
Essential delivers to Bristol on Wednesday. We aim to
have a delivery every 4 or 6 weeks, the date set two
weeks in advance, emailed out to members with an order
form. We have to order a minimum of £250 worth of goods.
ITEMS AVAILABLE:
Available from Essential Trading.
Virtually anything that is sold in a wholefood shop is
available, but remember you won’t save money if the
item runs out of date before you finish it. Buy things
you use a lot of; staples like, Soya milk, breakfast
cereals, flour (if you make your own bread), etc. Of
course, some cleaning materials and toilet paper are a
must. Some supplements and items like hemp seed oil are
available singly and big savings can be made on them.
Ditto on toiletries. Remember, other may be willing to
split cases with you especially on tea, coffee, Yannoh,
etc. You could put in a regular order on things you know
how much you use of, like Soya milk; i.e. 3 cases (36
cartons) of Soya milk every 6 weeks, then add other items
to your order or not as you wish.
SPLIT CASES:
Essential will split some cases, this is indicated in the
price list with an * instead of an x on the case size.
i.e. 12 * 300g is splitable and 12 x 300g is not. However
if what you want to order has to be a whole case on the
list, email out in a ‘group’ email to see if
anyone else would like to split a case with you.
CATALOGUES:
Essential will send us 2 hard copies of their catalogue
for each issue, every two months. The catalogue is also
available via email. Eventually it will be possible for
every member to have a hard copy, although the prices may
not be current. If you are happy to receive an emailed
copy you will always have the up to date prices.
COLLECTING DELIVERIES:
If you wish to collect on the delivery day, call: 0117
986 2257, to check that the delivery has arrived. The day
after delivery, your order will be available for
collection anytime (an email will be put out in the event
of this not being possible). Any other times for
collection, call: 0117 986 2257.
